The Kiwanis Club of Mission Viejo has been providing community service through projects and monetary donations since 1969. We are affiliated with the world-wide Kiwanis International, but our primary focus is local.
We hold quarterly recognition programs for outstanding students in local schools, conduct an annual bowling event for adult clients of Vocational Visions, supply backpacks for needy students identified though South County Outreach, make toy donations to families of Marines at Camp Pendleton and participate in the annual Red Ribbon Anti-Drug program.
New programs this year include the Tale Trail, a collaboration with the Mission Viejo Library. The Tale Trail consists of 20 signposts along a park pathway each containing a chapter of a story for children. We hold one major fund-raiser each year, selling See’s Candy. The club, now 53 years in existence, meets Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, fun and a program guest most weeks at Denny’s on Alicia Parkway at Interstate 5 in Mission Viejo. Contact us through this page for further information.
For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen.
Here is a list of some of the things our club does:

and family members of honorees.
